Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RentGoX, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, are legally able to enter into this agreement, and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Our Services

RentGoX provides a platform that allows property owners to publish rental property listings and enables users to search for rooms, houses, apartments, hostels, PGs, shops, offices, and other rental properties.

RentGoX is only a platform connecting users and property owners. We are not a real estate broker, landlord, agent, or property manager, and we do not take ownership, possession, or control of any listed property.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and while using the Service.
• You are responsible for all activities performed using your account.
• You must not impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Responsibilities

Users (renters/tenants) agree to:

• Independently verify property details, ownership, and legal status before making any payment or entering any agreement.
• Communicate respectfully and honestly with property owners.
• Comply with all applicable local, state, and national laws when renting or occupying a property.
• Bear sole responsibility for decisions made based on listings viewed on the platform.

5. Property Owner Responsibilities

Property owners are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy, legality, pricing, images, and descriptions of their listings.
• Holding valid legal title or authorization to lease, rent, or advertise the listed property.
• Complying with all applicable rental, tenancy, tax, and municipal laws.
• Honoring the terms, pricing, and availability represented in their listings.

RentGoX does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any property listed on the platform.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Upload illegal, obscene, or offensive content.
• Violate any applicable law or third-party right.
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data.
• Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
• Use the app for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activities, including payment fraud.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or abuse other users.

7. Premium Services

RentGoX may offer optional premium features, such as enhanced listing visibility, featured placements, verified badges, or other value-added services ("Premium Services") for a fee.

• Features, pricing, validity period, and terms of each Premium Service will be clearly displayed within the app before purchase.
• Premium Services are non-transferable and are tied to the account that purchased them, unless otherwise stated.
• Access to Premium Services is subject to successful payment confirmation.
• RentGoX reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or update Premium Service offerings and pricing at any time, with reasonable notice where required by law.

8. Online Payments & Payment Gateway Processing

• RentGoX does not store, collect, or have access to your full card, UPI PIN, net-banking credentials, or other sensitive payment credentials. These are collected and processed directly and securely by our payment gateway partner(s).
• By making a payment, you authorize RentGoX and its payment gateway partner(s) to process the transaction for the selected service or feature.
• All applicable charges, taxes (including GST, where applicable), and total payable amounts will be clearly displayed before you confirm any payment.
• Payments are accepted through UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and other methods supported by our payment gateway.
• In the event of a failed transaction where an amount has been debited, any applicable refund will be processed to the original payment method, in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and the payment gateway's settlement timelines.
• RentGoX is not liable for delays or failures caused by the payment gateway, issuing bank, UPI provider, or network issues beyond our reasonable control.

9. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds and cancellations for Premium Services and other paid features are governed by our dedicated Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully before making any purchase.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, software, graphics, text, and branding associated with RentGoX remain the property of RentGoX unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission from RentGoX.

11. Privacy

Your use of RentGoX, including any personal or payment-related information you provide, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.

12. Limitation of Liability

RentGoX is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RentGoX and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Disputes between renters and property owners.
• Financial losses, property damage, or personal injury arising from any rental arrangement.
• Inaccurate, outdated, or fraudulent listings created by third-party users.
• User-generated content posted on the platform.
• Failures, delays, or errors caused by third-party payment gateways, banks, or network providers.
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian consumer protection law.

13. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent or illegal activity, misuses the payment system, or poses a risk to other users or the platform, with or without prior notice as permitted by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or payment gateway policies. Updated versions become effective immediately upon publication within the app or on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, including applicable consumer protection and e-commerce regulations. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
